In 1995, JCI with equal zeal and commitment to another sector of Cebu’s community who needs housing, development and marketed in a record-setting 90 days, the houses in an almost half a hectare property for the socialized housing of San Joseville I located in Upper Kalunasan, Cebu City.
In 2000, Santa Maria Heights and its socialized component, the San Joseville II, was started which is the third and fourth housing development by JCI, respectively. This land is situated in a 11.5 hectare area in Maghaway, Talisay City, about 14 km from Fuente Osmeña, Cebu City or a 25-minute car ride via the South Coastal Road.
Of the total 11.5 hectares, only 8.4 hectares is being developed in two (2) phases. Phase I (5 hectares) with a total of 356 lots where five (5) house models with a total of 281 houses belonging to the low-cost category, with prices ranging from PHP 657,480 to PHP 1,026,964 are already completed or being constructed. The 75 houses belonging to the socialized category with a ceiling price of PHP 225,000 are already completed or being constructed.  Phase II (3.4 hectares) will be developed immediately after the completion of Phase I in 2006.

Jose Clavano, Inc.

Jose Clavano, Inc. (JCI) is a Cebu-based printing industry pioneer in Visayas and Mindanao.  It started in 1930, closed during the war years and reopened in 1948. It was incorporated and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on January 15, 1964.

While continuing its leadership position in the printing business, JCI successfully ventured in the real estate development in the early 1990s. In 1992, the first development project was the middle to high-end residential units of EVC Emerald Estate located in Nasipit, Talamban, Cebu City. Followed in 1995, by the second development project under the socialized category consisting of housing units of San Joseville I located in Upper Kalunasan, Cebu City.

In 2000, the Santa Maria Heights, the third development project and the socialized category, the San Joseville II, the fourth development project were simultaneously started in the 11.5 hectare property located in Maghaway, Talisay City. Land development and house construction continues up to this time. Several houses in both Santa Maria Heights and San Joseville II have already been sold and a few families are now residing there as of today.
